That site you linked too tried to keep me there with a pop-up message and read like every other over-hyped supplement on the market. Why don't you save some money and supplement with L-Arginine instead? I am not aware of any studies related to specific intake times for L-Arginine. I would suggest taking all your supplements with a small meal because some supplements, vitamins, etc, are transported through the gut and through the blood stream on the back of other nutrients. In other words, they need other nutrients in order to be transported around the body.

Creatine is your best bet if you want to add lean muscle mass. Of course nothing beats anabolic steroids, but depending on where you live, they can be illegal. I usually take my supplements during my training session, but I train at home. For lean mass you really can't beat creatine, and you can take it before, after, or whenever you want to. How long have you been training?

I have been training for a good 1 and 1/2 years and i use to be pretty skinny, i have since put on about 10k of lean muscle im now a fluctuating 80kg.

I also train at home, but my main problem is iv tried allot of diff supplements, and prior to my post i use to only have a small meal / snack b4 my workout ie. some broccoli, almonds and maybe a small portion of lean meat.

so i thought id look further into how to better my pre-workout.

as i said before im fairly new to this and i guess the place i could use the best advice is when it comes to meal structure and supplements.

at the moment leading to my workout i eat 20min b4 , have a protein shake after and have a lean meal like chicken breast and maybe a little rice or pasta after.

any advice you can give me i would greatly appreciate

If your goal is to gain weight, you will want to focus on increasing your daily calorie intake. Can you give me an example of your training program, exercises, reps, sets, training days, etc? A well rounded diet is best, and as far a supplements go, the best supplement for lean mass is Creatine. Most supplements are simply hype, so you have to cut through the hype when selecting a supplement.

Some of the safe supplements for improving your muscle mass is creatine, branched chain amino acid and HMB supplements.
