  1. Recent research in the Journal of Nutrition suggests eating more fiber as a way to prevent weight gain or even encourage weight loss. Over the course of the two-year study, the researchers found that boosting fiber by 8 grams for every 1,000 calories resulted in about 4 1/2 pounds of weight lost. Try it for yourself. If you're consuming 2,000 calories per day, aim to increase your fiber by 16 grams. Fiber-rich foods that help do the weight-loss work for you: 1. A medium apple contains 4 grams of fiber 2. One cup of green beans boasts 4 grams of fiber 3. A medium-size baked sweet potato, skin included, offers 5 grams of fiber-for just 103 calories. 4. One cup of raspberries has 8 grams of fiber 5. One cup of strawberries has a respectable 3 grams of fiber 6. 3/4 cup of chickpeas has a whopping 8 grams of fiber 7. A cup of cooked pumpkin contains 3 grams of fiber ...thought you might want to know :)

  4. Hi, I need help losing weight

Hey Bob, just a quick question.. "the higher the intensity of the exercise, the more calories which are expended...". I believe that. But it's not easy with all the pain around your body after an intense exercise. How long will it last? I mean the pain... before "it doesn't hurt anymore"
  5. I need to keep it at 70 g...if I can help it
  6. Well, just starting out...probably less than a month. It's not easy, but I'm getting the hang of it. Got to start somewhere... :flower:
  7. That's a good idea! Thanks Bob. Unfortunately, there's no in n out burger in the area. I have been searching the internet in relation to this and found nutritionix calculator. So, I tried it out following your suggestion and here's what I got: Subway Spicy Italian Meats Roast Beef Swiss Cheese Banana Peppers Olive Oil Blend Looks good and got protein at 34 g and carbs at 3 g. Not bad, right?
  8. Can't help it. I just need some suggestions on how we can eat healthy at Subway, McDonalds, or Chpotle.. I need something that's low in carbs, yet high in protein. Any suggestion is welcome.
