Association Between Low Back Pain and Aerobic Fitness
In a study conducted by scientists at
the pain management program at the New England Medical Center in Boston
studied 75 patience with low back pain. The group experienced pain
before and after the aerobic tests which indicate there is no
association between aerobic fitness and low back pain. In addition the
results suggest that aerobic fitness does not help with back pain
either, but this study has some serious flaws. STUDY AUTHORS:

Resistance
Training Superior to Flexibility Exercise For Seniors
Resistance training produces greater
strength, balance, and gait over flexibility exercise. The study
conducted at the Saint George Hospital in Sydney studied 40 seniors and
found that resistance training significantly increased
participants strength, balance, and gait. There are many benefits to
seniors who engage in resistance training and this study also supports
the importance of strength training for seniors. If you know of a senior
who isn't already training, then it is time for you to tell him how
important it is. STUDY AUTHORS: Barrett
